I'm always up for a good challenge - so I'm starting my own!
Recently I was listening to a podcast for bloggers that inspired me. We bloggers like to create content that is well-written and neatly polished, but sometimes we get so wrapped up in making everything perfect that we prevent ourselves from hitting that publish button. I'm totally guilty!
So for the next 30 days, I'm going to be posting new content to the blog EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That's 30 new posts. Which is actually DOUBLING the amount of posts currently on the blog.
I'm challenging myself (and you too, fellow bloggers!) to write for 30 days straight - and here's what I hope to gain from it:
- improved writing skills
- increased vulnerability
- efficiency with creating graphics
- steadier engagement
- consistent schedule
If you're a blogger, I encourage you to join me for 30 days of blogging by writing a new post each day and by using the hashtag #30daysofblogging in your social media posts to see and encourage other bloggers as well! And if you're not a blogger, try 30 days of journaling. I'd love to hear how it went for you!
Why Blog in the First Place?
To kick off the challenge, I'd like to share with you my why. I started this blog about a year ago, and it has been such a learning curve for me! From creating the site in all its intricacies to figuring out how to format a post and create appealing graphics, I have certainly learned a lot. But the reason I started the blog was to be a source of inspiration and encouragement to real, relateable women like me who are just figuring out life as they go.
Since then, I've posted my thoughts on topics like body image, stress, and even my story of miscarriage; I've created recipes that I love and enjoy; and I've shared some of my favorite workouts for a healthy lifestyle. I'd love to continue providing quality content that my readers enjoy, while also polishing my skills as a writer. Chrysalosity is my passion project, designed with a heart for writing and a love for readers.
So for 30 days, I'll be sharing a little bit of everything, always wearing my heart on my sleeve. Thank you so much for following along with me and for continually supporting - it means the world to me!
Until tomorrow,
